General Description

The Chorro Rafting Tour is a high-level rafting experience designed for experienced adventurers looking for a more intense and challenging river adventure.

The Chorro River is a Class IV/V river featuring technical rapids, adrenaline, and an impressive natural environment. It is one of our most exciting rafting experiences and is ideal for those looking for a true challenge on the river.

Due to its difficulty level, previous rafting experience and swimming ability are required. Our professional guides provide detailed safety instructions before and throughout the activity.

General Itinerary

8:00 a.m. — Meeting point

The meeting point is our Costa Rica Explorer Tours office in Dominical. From our office, we travel approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the river.

Once at the starting point, we provide participants with all the rafting and safety equipment needed. Before starting the activity, a safety talk of approximately 15 minutes is held, during which our guides explain the safety rules participants must follow, as well as the basic instructions and techniques for rafting.

Rafting activity
The river run lasts approximately 2 hours, depending on the river and its conditions.

River lunch
Lunch may be served during the experience on the river or at the end of the activity, depending on the river and the tour logistics.

Once the activity is finished, we leave the river and head back to our office in Dominical, with an approximate transport time of 1 hour.

General schedule
Tours start at 8:00 a.m. and normally finish between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. For large groups, the tour may occasionally extend until approximately 2:00 p.m.
